(4 hours)

Level: Any experience level. For adults and older youth (16+ yrs).

Location: Smithers Art Gallery

In this printmaking workshop we will explore the process of reduction printing - creating a multi-coloured print in which each colour is printed separately using a single block. It is called a reduction print because after you have printed all the colours the original image on the block is virtually gone or reduced to nothing. We will learn about the importance of registration, how to plan the different stages of printing and how to properly sign a limited edition print.

Participants should bring some drawings or images that they would like to turn into a multi-coloured print.

Registration and pre-payment are required. Sign up at the gallery, or by phone with a credit card: 250-847-3898.

Cancellation policy: 50% refund on cancellations made 48hrs or more prior to the workshop

Discounts are offered to members. Memberships are $25 (valid May 1-April 30). Click here for details on how to become a member.
